He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis "Zip" Zimmerman and Ruby Christensen Zimmerman; his child Tory; his wife Dora Sorenson; his children, Michael Zimmerman (Tiffany), Julie Waller (Rod), Jacqui Jacobs (Kendall), John Zimmerman (Jessica), James Zimmerman (Loran) and Nikki Hansen (Mike); his former wife Vicki Bean; his stepchildren, Eric Stoner and Julie Stoner; and his siblings, Luise Peterson, Charlene Cole (Ross) and Thomas Zimmerman (Patti). He was also cherished by twenty-five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
