He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marjorie Ruth O'Connell and John Marshall Patterson; his wife Diane Ellefson; and his daughters, Debbie, Lisa and Dina. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
