He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ephraim Clinton Swain and Rachel LaVerda Hair Swain; his wife Coleen Swain; his children, Cathy Stirland (Red), Troy Swain (Nichol), Suzette Carter, Allison Lewis (Russell), Angela Anderson and Jennifer Carter (Rod); his siblings, Arlin Swain (Marsha), Carolyn S. Secrist and Darlene S. Nelson; his brothers-in-law, Joseph R. Nelson and Joe Dean Secrist; his children-in-law, Ryan Anderson and Maryann Swain; his grandsons, Dannie Carter and Jake Dodson; his close friend Randy Ransom; and also, Gerald and Coleen. He was also cherished by his twenty-two grandchildren, as well as twenty-two great grandchildren.
