He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughters, Tammy (Blake), Deanna and Lori (John); his grandsons, Blake Jr., Trevor, Garrett and Shane; his sister Carol; and his nieces and nephews, Sandy and Terry.

“My wife and I want to offer our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Joe's family. I was lucky enough to be able to call Joe on of my closest friends. We worked together in the mid to late 70's until. Every time we saw each other afterwards it was as though we were still working together. Carol and her 3 daughters will always have a place in my heart. We are deeply sorry for your loss. There is no doubt in my mind Riverside is a better place because of Joe and his family's contribution.”
