He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara; and his children, David (Carmen), Bernard, Emily Rodriguez (Ned), Rick (Sue), Larry (Stephanie), Jerry, Andrea Ritchie (Graham), Cathi Croal (Tom), Rose Hoy (George), Fred (Jeanette) and Steve. He was also cherished by 34 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
