He is survived by: his wife Nancy (Beck); his sons, Judd (Kimberly Bretz) of Friant, CA and Drew Bretz of Fresno, CA; his close friends, Steve and Annette Hoff of Yreka, CA; his grandchildren, Tayler, Hannah, Kevin McGowan-Bretz, Hunter Bretz, Cody, Casey Hoff, Scott, Markie Layton and Kenny Graham; his great grandchildren, Braylee Kelley and Bowen McGowan-Bretz; and his siblings, Richard Bretz (Sharon) of Newark, Ohio and Pam Cheney (Bob) of Clovis, CA..

“I first remember Bill at Shaver Lake in 1955 when I would take my ski and walk to Ronnie Kings where the “big boys” were skiing. They would always give me a pull! I saw Billy “kiting” on the lake and was terrified he flew over the outside of the dam...Such great times. Bill was a great guy always w a smile. Ben and I will miss his visits. Thinking of you Nancy and the boys🙏🏼🌷”
