She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Duarte and Martina Duarte; her husband David Martinez; her sons, James and Steven Martinez; and her grandsons, Anthony Martinez and AJ Soltero.

She is survived by: her children, Christina Martinez, William Martinez, Corina Magill and Debra Villegas; her sons-in-law, Bill Magill and Sam Villegas; and her grandchildren, Steven Martinez, Jr., Gina Martens, Monica Rocha, Jacob Martinez, Casara Flores, Nicholas Villegas, Taylor Magill and Jacqueline Villegas. She is also survived by three sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews.

Her family moved to Fresno County in 1946, where she lived until she went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2021 from complications of Parkinson's Disease.
