He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Herring and Mary Dunlap Herring; his wife Julia Frances Lessell Herring; his daughter Inita Pannell; and his brothers, Damon Herring and Edward Herring.
He is survived by: his children, Jolene Tutor of Blue Springs and Keith Herring (Lois) of Blue Springs; and his grandchildren, DeAnna Booth, Steve Tutor, Rony Herring, Jon Herring, Jill Herring, James Pannell and Josh Pannell. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
