He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Ephterpe "Tepi" Barbis, Maralyn McCormack, Sean McCormack, Michelle Clark, Pat Harrell, Milton Barbis and Heidi Barbis; his grandchildren, Ryan McCormack, Cammy Childs, Kristyn, Edmund Ross, Kacey, Phillip Legnitto, Tepi McCormack and Claire Elise Vasilia Barbis; his great grandchildren, Sydney and Calvin McCormack; and his wife Mary Alice Ochinero. He was also cherished by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 2219 N. Orchard, Fresno, CA 93703.
