With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Brent Vaughn Sr. of Fresno, California, born in Porterville, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 19, 2024 at the age of 87. In the vast expanse of eternity, Ronald Brent shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ronald Brent farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Vaughn and Marjorie Vaughn. He is survived by: his wife Merle Vaughn (Wierman); and his children, Vicki Anderson (Bob), Deborah Stanton (Dale), Suzanne Harandi (Bob), Reneé Smart (Kevin), Ron Vaughn (Judy) and Gregory Vaughn (Lauri). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He served on the Board of Trustees for the Bulldog Foundation for 16 years, and was on the Boards of the Salvation Army, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Fresno Hall of Fame, Radio Advertising Bureau, and the Fresno Adventist Academy.
