She was predeceased by: her husband Robert A. Dickerson; and her parents, Takegiro Masuyama and Sotoe Masuyama. She is survived by: her sons, Donald Lee, Ronald Wayne (Runy) and Jerry Allen (Leah); and her grandchildren, Elowyn Kaori (William) and Genevieve Yuriko.

In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was diagnosed with dementia at the age of 90.
