It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Jon Gaitan in Fresno, California, born in Selma, California, who passed away on October 31, 2021, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Jesse V. Gaitan; and his brother Gilbert A. Gaitan. He is survived by: his mother Olivia Gaitan of Selma; his siblings, Jess Gaitan of New York, Elizabeth Gaitan (Vince Delgado) of Cincinnati and Diane Gaitan (Tom Brady) of Selma; and his nieces and nephews, Ava, Aria, Bella, Alexia, Max and Aaron.

Mike cared for others and in keeping with his generous spirit, it was his decision to donate life so that others may live; his final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Michael's memory be made to Donate Life California.
