He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Newberry and Helen Newberry; and his siblings, Larry Newberry and Judy Newberry. He is survived by: his children, Michael Alan Newberry, Jr. and Stephanie Anne Powell; his grandchildren, Janiessa Newberry, Kamielle Powell, Kamana Powell and Payton Powell; and his sisters, Peggy Newberry Reagan, Susan Turgeon, Denise Holland and Thalia Rogers.
