He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Gallagher and Mary Jane Gallagher; his siblings, Jim, Bill, Barbara and Shirley; his in-laws, Albert and Alice Sauer; and his son David Gallagher.

He is survived by: his wife Alexandria Gallagher; his children, MaryAnne Couchman (Bill), Barbara Gallagher-Johnson (Chris), Chris Gallagher (Darlene) and Dan Gallagher (Tricia); his grandchildren, David Gallagher (Anna), Brent Couchman (Jessica), Luke Couchman (Macey), Jacob Martin, Dylan Maley, Catherine Cattanach (Jack), Ali Martin, Nicole Maley, Grace Gallagher and Audrey Gallagher; and his great grandchildren, Quinn and Piper Couchman.

Memorial donations can be made to Fresno Survivors of Suicide Loss, and Hinds Hospice.
