He was predeceased by: his siblings, Laird Heal and Geraldine Stewart. He is survived by: his former wife Martha Fox; his wife Carla Heal (Bastian); his children, Jon Heal (Karen) of Springfield and Heather Kinney (Jim) of San Diego, California; and his grandchildren, Daniel, Thomas Heal of Springfield, Virginia, Matthew and Rosette Kinney of San Diego, California. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews.
