Julio Alberto Magana Obituary

Julio Alberto Magana Obituary On Friday, March 12, 2021, Julio Alberto Magana, 42, of Fresno, CA passed away peacefully with his wife by his side after a courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer. Julio was born in San Jose, California to Gilberto and Virginia Magana. He lived in Santa Ana for part of his childhood where he attended elementary school.

Julio and his family later migrated to Dinuba, California where he completed middle school and High School. In High School, he played for the football and basketball team. This is where his passion for sports grew. He attended California State University, Fresno where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Criminology in 2003.

He began his career later that year at the Juvenile Hall Justice Campus as a Correctional Officer, where he remained his entire career. Julio started his career with the Fresno County Probation Department in November 2002 as an Extra Help Juvenile Correctional Officer on 10th Street. In 2004, he promoted to a full-time position and later in 2007, promoted to a Senior Juvenile Correctional Officer.

During his 19 years of service, he exemplified loyalty and dedication to providing the best service to the Department as he worked in various positions. Julio had a true passion for mentoring the youth he worked with. Julio always brought positive light in a stressful environment. Julio will always be loved, never forgotten, and forever missed.

HERO – An ordinary person facing extraordinary circumstances and acting with courage, honor and self-sacrifice. Julio met the love of his life Ausencia in May of 2002 while working together at the Internal Revenue Service and went on to marry her in 2007. They later started a family and were blessed with two beautiful children, Victoria and Julian.

His children brought him so much pride and joy; he became "Super Daddy". Becoming a father was something he always dreamed of and they completed him. His children revived a part of him that had dimmed after the loss of his mother Virginia Tapia Magana in 2005 to breast cancer. He was a dedicated husband and father; loved to spend time with his family.

Julio was a very genuine, strong, kind and passionate man and did everything wholeheartedly. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the lake with his buddy to relax from all the stresses of daily life. Julio had a strong passion for cars which he inherited from his father. He was a very compassionate man and family driven, making himself always available to help those in need, especially if it was family or if it was related to car trouble.

Holidays they were always an all-time favorite for Julio and his family, when he displayed his grilling skills, chicken was his specialty and his famous deep-fried turkey that everyone loved. Julio left a footprint in many hearts and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Ausencia Magana, two precious children Victoria and Julian Magana, his father Gilberto Magana, siblings Jr, Erick, Cristina and Elizabeth Magana along with all his nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Little did I know that morning that God was going to call your name, in Life we loved you dearly, in death we will do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of me went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.

Our family chain is now broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again…..Ausencia, Victoria & Julian. The Magana family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and deep gratitude for all expressions of sympathy and acts of kindness shown during this time of bereavement. When I'm Gone When I am gone, release me – let me go I have so many things to see and do.

You must not tie yourself to me with tears please Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you so much Love, you can only guess, how much you gave me in Happiness. I thank you for the love each have shown, but now it is time I traveled alone. So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted by Trust.

It is only for a while that we must part so bless those memories within your Heart. I will not be far away, for life goes on, so if you need me, call and I will be near. And if you listen with your heart, you will hear All of my love around you, soft and clear.
