He was predeceased by: his father Jose Dolores Larrea; and his grandparents, Manuel, Grace Ruiz, Francisco and Josefa Larrea (Josephina).
He is survived by: his mother Grace Ruiz Maldonado; his stepmother Alicia Larrea; his siblings, Jeremiah Maldonado, Raul Maldonado, Andrew Sanchez, Rachel Arellano, Genevieve Maldonado and Denise Herrera (Gracie); his stepsiblings, Ricky, John, Rolando, Armando Gonzales and Bianca Serna; his godmother Francisca Brochu; and his goddaughter Tabitha Maldonado. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and life long friends.
