She is survived by: her significant other Mike Quitoriano; and her sisters, Amelia Jacala of Oakland, CA, Vilma Hernandez (Jaime), Bernadine "Dina" Guevara (Jaime) and Martha Cortes (Palm Desert). She is also survived by extended family and friends.
In 2017, as Alzheimer's took its toll, Josefina's family brought her back to Brawley, where she found solace in the care of her daughter Michelle and son-in-law Eric.
