He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Doyle Bowen and Mamie Pearl Pannell Bowen; his children, Jennifer Jaye Hill (Jason) of Houston, TX and Brian Christopher Laws (Nicole); his siblings, JoAnn Bowen, Hillary Self, Karen Bowen and David Joe Bowen; and his grandchildren, Jackson Edward Laws, Brandon Everett Laws, Gavin Christopher Laws, Winston Nicholas Laws, Clair Catherine Hill, Charlotte Jerri Hill and Elliot Carl Hill.
