He was predeceased by: his father Miguel Silva; his sister Veronica Silva; and his nephew Daniel Silva. He is survived by: his wife Janie Silva; his children, Joe Silva Jr. (Christy), Ricky Romero (Claudia), Bethany Mittie (Matthew) and Elizabeth Guevara (Ezequiel); his mother Juanita Mendoza; and his siblings, Mike Silva, Reggie Silva (Angie), George Silva (Margret), Helen Guzman (David), Rosario Aldana, Juanita Cuevas (John), Micaela Garcia (Pete), Elizabeth Torres (Mario) and Irene Silva.
