He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Elwood Bankston and Audrey Palestine Neeley Bankston; and his siblings, Oscar Bankston, Jr. and Patricia Jennings. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Bankston; his daughters, Glenda Watkins, Susan Schneider, Lisa Stephens and Jeanette Willems; his grandchildren, Byron Watkins, Kamray Redmond, Jason Schneider, Justin Schneider, Paul Brice Lujano, Kayla Lujano, Austin Lujano, Kelsi DeWall and Trisha Willems; and his sister Priscilla Bankston.
