He is survived by: his parents, Matias Cortes and Maria Cortes; his siblings, Maria Yaniret Cortes (Francisco), Laura Grabiela Cortes (Gerardo Botello), Maytha Mireya Cortes (Javier Cortes), Juan Jose Cortes (Alma), Veronica Yesenia Cortes (Juan Vargas) and Omar Cortes; and his grandmothers, Mercedes Manzo and Teresa Cortes.
