She was predeceased by: her parents, Wanda Paul and Cecil Kennedy; her son Justin Bylsma; her stepson Keith Smith; her parents-in-law, Patsy Smith and Clelle Smith; and her son-in-law Byron Ross.

She is survived by: her former husband Alvin Smith (Al); her husband Al Smith; her brothers, Troy Paul (Jodie) and Terry Kennedy (Sandra); her children, April Perkins (Jack) and Jeremiah Bylsma (Misty); her stepchildren, Katie Thayer (Will), Jesse Smith (Gloria), Matthew Smith (Abby) and Aaron Smith (Sherry); her grandchildren, Heidi Donham (Travis), Allison Fenner (Gage), Byron Ross, Justin Bylsma Jr., Logan Bylsma, Cheyenne Bylsma, Harley Bylsma, Charlie Bylsma, Gracie Bylsma, Alissa Smith, Kelsey Smith, Gunner Smith, Brooklyn Thayer, Oliver Smith and Haley Smith; and her nieces and nephews, Tiffany Brook (Eric), Scott Kennedy (Linda), Kevin Kennedy (Tawney), Troy Paul, Phillip Paul, Noelle Paul, Marina Paul and Alana Paul. She is also survived by her many great grand children.
