He was predeceased by: his parents, John Diener and Maggie Diener (Steitz); his wife Dottie Diener (Las Vegas); and his sisters, Emma, Lilly, Elsie, Mable, Marie and Bernice.

He is survived by: his son-in-law Larry; his grandchildren, Kisha and Nicole; his great grandchild Dottie Mae; his daughter Shelly (Larry Rompal); his granddaughter Laren; and his great grandchildren, Huntly Rebensdorf, Dex Rebensdorf and Dottie Mae Pearson.
