He was predeceased by: his parents, Imogene Ballew (French) and Robert Coleman Ballew; and his grandson Evan Medina. He is survived by: his wife Jean Ballew (Cloyd); his children, Janell Lynn Galloway (Scott), Tad Ballew (Dee) and Rob Ballew (Angela); his grandchildren, Jacob Abeytia (Jacquelyn), Brendt Galloway (Jesse), Jacob Sandvig, Ben Galloway (Anna), Theo Ellin Ballew, Madison Ballew Brown (Joshua Brown), Mallory Ballew (Chad Porter) and Maycee Ballew; his great grandchildren, Elijah Abeytia, Noah Abeytia, Henrik Sandvig, Mark Galloway and Jack Galloway; his brothers, Ron Ballew (Karen) and Bob Ballew (Bea); his brother-in-law Ray Cloyd (Nancy); and his uncles, Jerry Ballew and Frank French. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Eddie Ballew was born on Pisgah Ridge near Richland, TX, on September 11, 1941, to Imogene (French) Ballew and Robert Coleman Ballew, and died on August 10, 2023, in Fresno, CA, of Alzheimer's disease.
