He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan Warman McGuire and Violet Louise Pratt McGuire; his siblings, Ronald Allen McGuire, Stanley Charles McGuire and Nellie Jane Burkett; and his stepson Raymond Sonafrank.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce McGuire; his daughters, Lynne Sheriff (James) of Elberton, GA, Judith Smith (Mark) of San Diego, Jennifer Wallace (Diallo) of Laguna Niguel, CA and Christina Clinger (James) of Springdale, AR; his stepson Jay Sonafrank (Anita) of Fresno, CA; and his brothers, Kenneth Pershing McGuire (Joy) of Lake Elsinore, CA, William Jay McGuire (Carla) of Roanoke, TX and Timothy James McGuire of Roanoke.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association @ act.alz.org.
