Christine Marie McKenzie Obituary
Christine Marie Mckenzie, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and tia passed away on July 15th, 2024 , after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family as she went to be with the lord. Christy was born in Santa Maria on November 1st, 1971.Christy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Fresno State , and worked for Costco Wholesale as a supervisor in the photo department for 7 years then working for Clovis Unified School District, as an instructional Aid for special needs students the last 12 years of her life. She always put others before herself, and her loving heart led her to this passion.
Christy touched many hearts with her beautiful smile, radiating personality, as well as her motherly nature. There was not a person who met Christine who could not help but realize the love she led her life with. She was a woman of great faith and a follower of her savior, Jesus Christ. She is survived by the love of her life and loving husband of 27 years Don Mckenzie, her 2 children that meant the world to her: Son Tanner Mckenzie , and daughter Alexis Mckenzie. She also is survived by her father Cruz Peinado, her sister Nancy Zaragoza and her husband Damon , her nephews Anthony Zaragoza, Jacob Zaragoza, and Joshua Zaragoza, among many other family and friends she held dear to her heart. Christy was preceded in death by her mother whom she cherished, Minnie Peinado.
We will miss her dearly, and she will remain a large piece of our hearts forever.
Funeral services will be on Friday, August 9th, 2024 at Farewell Funeral Service - Palm Bluffs 660 W. Locust Ave. Fresno CA 93650 , and a reception at the Fresno Police Officers Association 994 N. Van ness Fresno, CA, 93728 with food being served 1:00-3:30.
