He is survived by: his children, Michelle Mercado Young, Jesse Mercado, Joey Mercado and Monica Brown; his grandchildren, Shaniqua Young (Quia) and Jesse Mercado Jr.; his great grandchild Luna Mercado; his siblings, Vicki Perez, Mario Mercado and Carlos Mercado; and his aunt Julia Amparo. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
