He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Yanez and Eustica Yanez; and his sisters, Elodia Ortega and Jenny Saldate. He is survived by: his wife Cruz Yanez; his children, Dolores, Albert Yanez Jr., Mark Yanez and Connie Marie; his siblings, Robert Yanez, Gloria Garcia, Lydia Bernson and Elidia Lomeli; and his stepchildren, Rose, Jose, Robert and Christopher. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
