He was predeceased by: his wife Mari; and his son Tom. He is survived by: his wife Japan; his children, Mike and Carole (Glenn); his grandchildren, Jason (Amanda), Karen and Jennifer (Joe); and his great grandchildren, Aubree and Allison.
Dewitt's first love was his wife and family, but it didn't stop there as he constantly gave back to the community and the armed forces in donations and support.
