He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Vega and María; his aunts, Daria Cid and Martha Díaz; and his wife Susan Vega.
He is survived by: his children, Damian I. Vega, Christina and Elizabeth Vega; his grandsons, Steven Vega, Julian and Javier Alfonso; and his great grandchild Alora Vega. He is also survived by his cousins, nieces and nephews.
