He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Tovar and Felix Tovar. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Tovar; and his daughters, Marlene Mendoza and Angie Martinez-Custard. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
