She was predeceased by: her father Ralph McClurg; her husband James S. Thomsen; her mother Alma Strandberg Matthiesen; and her stepfather Jake Matthiesen. She is survived by: her sons, Duane Thomsen (Jackie), Melvin Thomsen (Sharon) and Erik Thomsen (Judi). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Humboldt or Fortuna United Methodist Church.
