He is survived by: his grandchildren, Louie, Payton, Joseph, Harinay, Jacob, Kikia, Trinity, Eddie, Autumn, Shyarra, Keeshan, Kagen, Eugene, Franklin, Jr., Raider, Ronald and Gloria; his wife Cheree Bowie; his children, Duane James Bowie Jr. (Georgina), Jimmy Bowie (Katie), Teresa Ballew (Joe Ballew), Edward "Gusto" Bowie, Franklin Donahue (Jenne), Lydia Robbins and Kapel Robbins; and his sisters, Aileen Bowie-Meyer, Brenda Bowie, Eloise Bowie (Judy) and Norma Carter (Ivan Carter).
