She was predeceased by: her husband Frank Souza; her parents, John Sousa and Emilia Sousa; her siblings, Frank Sousa, John Sousa, Joe Sousa, Manuel Sousa, Marie Souza and Gert Zamarripa; and her son-in-law David Blachly.

She is survived by: her great grandchild Joey Quen; her daughters, Shirley Cooley (Dale), Sharon Thomsen (Mel), Judy Olesen (Rich), Jeanette Van Dusan (John), Linda Sherwood, Irene Blachly, Mary Hubner (Glen) and Kathy Monroe (Shayne); her grandchildren, Rick Cooley (Kim) of Carson City, D'Anna Quen (Joe) of Fortuna, Kevin McClendon (Jeana) of Hydesville, Stacey Bywater of Fortuna, Tina Freeman (Bryan) of Westlynn, Deborah Fonseca (Rene) of Fortuna, Jessica Mendes (Kenny) of Kuna, Jason Oliveria of Fortuna, Tim Oliveria (Heather) of Fortuna, Travis Sherwood of Eureka, David Blachly (Charris) of Fortuna, Jodie Blachly (Melissa) of Porterville, CA, Nikie Norwood (Melissa) of Fortuna, Glenda Corcoran (Dustin) of Sacramento and Shanda Lewis (Lance) of Sacramento; her sister Evelyn Floyd of Santa Rosa; her brother-in-law Arnold Souza (Bonnie) of Arcata; and her children, David Souza of Arcata and Jim Souza of Willows, CA.. She is also survived by 26 great grandchildren, as well as may local cousins, nieces and nephews.
