“John was one of my oldest friends. He had a lifelong love of adventure and exploration as well as a great appreciation of all aquatic activities. He coached and “parented” in the Fontana Swim Club, taught science, and generally explored the world. He spent most of his life with one leg shrunken and paralyzed, but he never ever complained or acted as if it were a disability…in fact, he regularly rode a motorcycle, reffed water polo, and skippered his Hobie Cat. He will be greatly missed.”
