He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Arlene Lugo; and his children, Sally Erney (Trent), Debra Granados, Donna Gaytan (Robert), Phil Lugo (Jacqueline) and Robert Lugo. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
