He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul H. "Doc" Gritz and Coral MacKenzie; and his brother Toby Gritz. He is survived by: his son Paul; his wife Janice; his son John Patrick Gritz (Melissa) of Mason City; his grandchildren, Angus Gritz of Seattle, WA and Teagan Gritz of Roseville; his siblings, John Gritz (Gloria) of Eagan, MN, Rocky MacKenzie (Mary Beth) of Burbank, Bob MacKenzie (Anita) of Tumwater, WA, Tom MacKenzie (Charmaine) of Atlanta and Eva "Missy" Gritz of Saugus; and his nephew Paul "Marty" Gritz of Mason City, Iowa. He is also survived by nephews and nieces; and many other loving relatives and friends.
