With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Reuben Hofshi of Fallbrook, California, who passed away on August 13, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Reuben has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parent Baruch (Rachel Abed). He is survived by: his wife Jeannine; his sisters, Irit Menashe and Gila Gilad; and his children, Shanti Hofshi (Heather), Eli Hofshi (Silvia), Lila Yetz (Jason), Danny Hofshi (Taylor) and David Hofshi (Aysha). He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to numerous other contributions to the industry, he initiated the AvocadoSource web site as a means of making avocado-related literature and research articles available world-wide.
