He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Martin Fredrick Balow III of Chicago, IL and Rosella Balow of Parkers Prairie, MN.; his sister Valerie Balow Foster; his wife Guity Pourshirazi; his daughter Michelle Balow Crosby; his son-in-law Christopher Crosby; and his wonderful Midwestern. He was also cherished by friends and family.

In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marty's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
