She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Dan; her children, Steve Hood (Frances), Gayleen Marmarelis and Kent Hood (Bonnie); her grandchildren, Sam Hood (Mechelle), Elizabeth Hood Greene (Craig), David Hood (Andrea), Adam Hood (Shaila), Melina Marmarelis (Sam Takvorian) and Eleni McGeehin (Brendan); and her parents, Willard Bren and Estella Bren. She was also cherished by ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Sarcoma Research Foundation: - Sarcoma research foundation.
