“I am surprised that no one wrote about her beading artistry and all the awards she won at the state and local fairs. She lived to work those little glass pieces of the rainbow into embroidered pillows and hangings as well as pieces of jewelry that featured her favorite Swarovski crystals. She will be greatly missed by her friends Carol Putnam and Marilyn Peters.”

“36 years ago, I walked into Howard Johnson's and put in an application. I was new in California and needed a job. The lady who took my application at the register, ran it back to the boss and said hire her. She saw that I had previously worked for Howard Johnson's and needed minimal training. That lady was Patricia Bell. She reminded me about that over the years and we always had a good laugh about it. She was fun, thoughtful, creative and loved her family. She will truly be missed.”
