He is survived by: his son Joseph Villamayor Elgar, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; his grandson Kai Rowan Elgar-Wong of Los Angeles, CA; and his siblings, George Elgar, Jr. of Washington, Edgar Elgar of Hawaii, Mary Elgar of Washington, Betsy Elgar of Hawaii, Grace Elgar of Washington, Christine Elgar of Washington and Pilipina Elgar of Washington.
