He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Davis and John Davis; and his brothers, Kenneth, Bobby, Billy, Jerry, James and Frank.

He is survived by: his wife Debra; his children, Sandy Johnson (Dan), Sarah Davis, Rachel Thomas (Nate), Katie Salguero (Juan), John Davis (Wendy) and Josh Davis; his grandchildren, Jacob, Rebecca, Cassandra, Cole, Hunter, Grace, Lola, Briley, Salomon, Nando and Erza; and his siblings, Buddy Davis, Leonard Davis and Betty Harr (Don). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to a veteran's charity or organization in his honor.
