No services were held. Esther will be laid to rest next to Robert at Genessee Prairie Cemetery, Oshtemo Twp. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, in c/o the funeral home.
Age 88, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Fairfield, CA, where she had been making her home since 2019. Esther was born in Oakland, CA, on June 7, 1936, the daughter of Leo and Grace (Quicoy) Reyes. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Panama City, where she was a member of both the Altar Society and the choir. She attended St. Monica Catholic Church when in Kalamazoo. She was employed at Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City, as a Civil Service secretary, retiring in 1994. On June 7, 1964, she married Robert L. Green who preceded her in death on July 19, 2008. Esther is survived by her sisters, Lily Sanchez, Norma Reyes, Anthonette Borges; brother, Leo (Cynthia) Reyes; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece Sarena (Robert) Brown; and countless friends. Besides her husband, Esther was preceded in death by her son, Kelly O. Green; her parents; brothers, Angel, Thanner, Joseph, Albert, George, Francis and John; sisters, Dolly and Ramona.
