He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Kernen and Lois Kernen; and his son Chad Kernen. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Ann; and his children, Brett Kernen (Donna Jai) and Kimberly Holmes (Terry). He is also survived by three grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, 3 sisters-in-law and 1 sister-in-law (deceased), 4 brothers-in-law, and 1 brother-in-law (deceased), and 9 nieces and nephews.
