It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Helen Sams of Eureka, California, born in Myrtle Point, Oregon, who passed away on September 29, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Hollister and Dorothy Hollister; her sister Carol; and her son Patrick Sams. She is survived by: her son Phil (Lani); her husband David Sams; her sons, Jerry (Carrie) and Steve (Elaine); her grandchildren, Emily (Jonah), Matthew, Lucas (Ashley), Stephanie (Tristan), Kelly (Tyler) and David (Ariel); her great grandchildren, Jude and Maya; and her siblings, Diane and Don.
