She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Tirso Vega and Maria Rabago. She was also cherished by her husband of 53 years, 4 children, 8 grandchildren, sons and daughter in law, and 6 siblings.

Later in life she crochet hats to donate at children's hospital.
