He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. O'Neill and Betty O'Neill (Kean); and his sibling Thomas M. O'Neill. He is survived by: his siblings, Pat O'Neill Sauerman and Mary Ellen Furstenberg; his wife Alexandra; and his sons, Gregory and Christopher O'Neill.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's name may be made to the Emilio Nares Foundation or the Magdalena Ecke Family YMCA.
