It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell E. Carruthers of Encinitas, California, who passed away on November 15, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard E. Carruthers and Evelyn J. Carruthers; and his sister Charlotte (Overstreet). He is survived by: his wife Dixie Carruthers (Loeffler) of Encinitas, CA; his sons, Mathew Carruthers of Redondo Beach, CA and Kelly Carruthers of Chesapeake, VA; his siblings, Sue Gilchrist (Craig), Richard Carruthers of Palm Desert, CA, Steve Carruthers (Nedra) of Blue Springs, MO., Fred Carruthers (Korkee) of Mediapolis, IA, Dan Carruthers (Paula) of Santa Clarita, CA. and Deb Kirschner of Keosauqua, IA.; and his grandchildren, Brooke, Allie, Hannahlaura, Cash and Hollis.
